The ownership of Ten Penn Center is committed to acting environmentally responsible in its management of Ten Penn Center. We are fortunate in that the building was constructed in a manner that maximizes energy efficiency and was recognized in 2000 with the Environmental Excellence Award and again in 2003 with The Energy Star Award. We continue to upgrade and improve our systems and procedures where possible to lower energy usage and reduce harmful environmental impact.

The following is a sampling of construction, systems, products and procedures currently in place at Ten Penn Center:

• Energy efficient floor plates
• Thermopane windows throughout
• Green water treatment procedures and products for cooling towers
• Thirty digitally controlled VAV zones in all high rise floors
• Automatic sensor soap dispensers and water faucets
• Automatic flush valves on toilets and urinals
• Motion detector lights in renovated restrooms and tenant spaces
• Exclusive use of environmentally friendly cleaning products and cleaning tools
• Single stream recycling program
• Recycling of computers, light bulbs and batteries
• Three high-efficiency Carrier Chillers with HCFC-134A refrigerant installed in 1996
• The cooling towers were replaced in 2004 and 2005
